Islam accepts both the Hebrew scriptures and the New Testament as authentic, divine revelations. The religious system laid out by Mohammed draws on elements of Judaism and Christianity, as well as on Arab traditions. The basic tenet of all three religions is the same -- there is one God, a God who requires of human beings both moral behaviour and devotion.
The following is a list (partial) of prophets accepted by all three faiths (also known as the sister religions). The names in brackets are the Arabic names.
Adam (Adam) Noah (Nuh) Abraham (Ibrahim) Ismail (Ismail) Joseph (Yusuf) Moses (Musa) Jonah (Junus) Christ (Isa)
